Avinyó Street

Probably this decision will take you to walk down the Avinyó Street, a street that is a few meters from Las Ramblas, in the Old Town a street that you should know that, thousands of years ago there was the Roman walls that defended the city during that period of time. A clear example of this you can see in the fitting of the store located at number 19 on this street.
Many centuries later became a street full of brothels, if you go to number 44 you will be in front of the brothel that passed to the prosperity thanks to work painted in oil, originally titled “El Burdel de Avinyó” but better known as “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon” by Pablo Picasso.
Today, if you walk around Avinyó, you will notice that not only are a good example of important buildings that go from the eighteenth to the twentieth century with styles such as modernism and neoclassicism whose best example is the building located at number 23, but you will realize the great importance of fashion in the street known for being the birthplace of alternative fashion in Barcelona, with the presence of important and popular restaurants and stores.
